DPW Brisbane Operational Impacts
We wish to inform you of the current operational challenges confronted at DP World Terminal in Brisbane, impacting our turnaround times and container movements.
As of now, DP World is experiencing significant congestion, leading to extended turnaround times exceeding three hours.
To address this, some containers are being placed on ground pads, which unfortunately are affected by PIA’s (Protected Industrial Actions). This congestion is impacting our ability to efficiently retrieve containers from the terminal, causing unavoidable delays.
While PIAs are suspended, there remains a substantial backlog to address, and reduced throughput is anticipated, inevitably resulting in continued delays.
Additionally, we would like to inform you of the upcoming CMMFEU Protected Industrial Action scheduled for next week, starting on Monday, 18/12 at 04:00 and concluding on Friday, 20/12 at 07:00.
During this period, he following operations will be affected:
• Old yard operations (40 and 50 pads)
• NO OOG (Out of Gauge)
• NO Haz tanks (Hazardous tanks)
• NO Reefer receival and delivery (Old yard and Modules) from Monday, 18/12 at 04:00 until Wednesday, 20/12 at 07:00.
Please note that General Cargo receival and delivery to/from modules will continue uninterrupted 24/7.
